Discipleship

Everyday Discipleship: Living a Life Transformed by Christ

At Good Life, we believe discipleship isn’t just an activity; it’s a lifestyle, a continuous journey of following Christ in every aspect of your life. This commitment is central to our faith because we recognize the clear mandate of the Great Commission as a universal calling for every believer.

Our discipleship model is one that is both instructive and demonstrative. We don’t just teach principles. We actively practice them, modeling the very life we encourage.

We are committed to walking alongside you, showing you what it means to live out your faith daily.

Our 4-Phase Discipleship Model for Men

We guide men through a comprehensive, four-phase model designed to deepen their walk with Christ and equip them to impact the world for His glory:

Priorities

To truly follow Christ means acknowledging His supreme place in your life. He comes before everything and everyone else, and all other priorities naturally align behind Him.

  • If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. – Luke 14:26

Humility

We help men understand their vital role within God’s grand plan, while also recognizing that we are not meant to navigate life’s battles alone.

  • I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

  • Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2

  •

Gifts

God has uniquely wired and gifted each of us. While we teach about the fruit of the Spirit which is evident in every Spirit-led life, we also highlight the specific, unique spiritual gifts the Lord bestows upon His people. Discovering and utilizing these gifts is crucial for effective ministry.

  • I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
  • Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2
  •

Calling

As noted, there’s a general calling for all believers to be disciples and to lead others in discipleship. Beyond that, we explore the specific calling God has placed on your individual life—how He will use the unique gifts He’s given you to bring Him glory.

  • As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. – 1 Peter 4:10-11
